Ross Beal
General Manager
With over 40 years experience in the electrical contracting industry, including ownership of his own companies Ross has a solid understanding of not only the industry, but also managerial
requirements of running a large company.
With his considerable experience in project management and estimating Ross understands the service level that Total Power
Services customers require.
Ross has served as President of the Electrical Contractors Association of NZ and is a current director of the Electro-Technology Industry Training Organization.
His interests include aviation, boating, squash and his family.

Murray Popenhagen
Director— Key Customer and Project Manager
Again with over 40 years experience in the electricity supply industry, having
completed NZCE (heavy electrical) and then gaining extensive experience in the
design of EHV and LV reticulation systems, both above ground and underground
distribution substations, and street lighting design. Murray has a complete
understanding of the requirements for private networks and large subdivisions.
Following the legislative changes to the electricity industry in 1998 and changes
to the Central Otago network Murray saw an opportunity to establish a private
contracting company based out of Queenstown specializing in customer focused
design and installation of reticulation systems
Murray’s interests include skiing, cycling, tramping and family.

Ian Boud
Director— Design team and Project Manager
Having completed a supply industry apprenticeship with the MED Ian worked as an
industrial electrician on several large sites. He moved back into the
electricity supply industry in Invercargill, with over 20 years experience in
the industry including ownership of several companies Ian has specialized in
the design of reticulation systems and project management.
Ian has gained extensive knowledge in the requirements of individual Network
owners allowing for efficient and effective project management.
Ian became a shareholder and director of Peak Power Distribution in 2000.
Ian’s interests include motorcycles, skiing, rugby and his family

David Evans
Director—Sales and Marketing Manager
Having completed an electrical apprenticeship with at the time one of New
Zealand's largest contracting companies David continued his career development
working as a site foreman, contracts administrator and finally moving into the
roles of estimating and project management.
Prior to entering the electricity supply industry in 2008 David was South Island
manager for a large cable company, not only providing him with extensive sales
and marketing experience but also enabling him to gain an extensive knowledge of
all types of cables, their design and installation requirements.
Based in Wanaka David manages the branch, the companies agencies, and also the
sales and marketing.
David's interests include golf, skiing, the outdoors and family.
